WHAT IS ALOHA?

Aloha, a Hawaiian word, embodies more than a simple greeting. It encapsulates the essence of the “aloha spirit”, a mindset deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture. The “Aloha spirit” encompasses a sense of unity, respect, kindness, gratitude, and love towards others. It embraces the concept that we are all God’s creation and acknowledges the interconnectedness of all living beings and extends beyond mere words, reflecting a genuine care and understanding for one another. It’s a manifestation of the belief that there’s a divine presence in every person and in nature, fostering an atmosphere of positive energy and good will.

OUR STORY

Hi, I’m Alice — the founder of Threads of Aloha.

You could say I’m a haole girl who completely fell in love with the islands and the spirit of aloha. While living in Honolulu, my life changed in an instant when I was hit by a car while crossing the street and almost didn’t survive. My faith was tested, and I faced a long road of healing that included learning how to walk again. But through it all, God was with me.

During my recovery, my local friends and coworkers here in Hawaiʻi surrounded me with incredible love and care, treating me like family even though mine was back in Las Vegas. That’s when I truly understood what aloha means — love, kindness, and showing up for one another.

God placed it on my heart to spread that spirit wherever I go. That vision became Threads of Aloha.

And if a haole girl can help spread a little more aloha in the world… I think that’s a pretty good mission.

Through our faith-based brand, we offer apparel that not only represents the beauty of the Hawaiian culture but also the values of Christianity. We aspire to inspire kindness, unity, and positivity through our designs, fostering a sense of community that echoes the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through our apparel, we seek to promote a world where love, understanding, and faith are woven into the fabric of everyday life.
